Darlington Woodland’s young gun Sophie Wood played her part in the England Under 18’s British Bowls Series success at Ayr.
England went through the tournament unbeaten winning all six games.
Sophie featured in all six games and was on the winning side five of the six, Sophie’s only loss was by a single shot in the Pairs against Scotland.
The future looks good for England bowls and as for Sophie the next target is to push for more county honours and to try and break into the Under 25’s.
